The film "Invictus"

The man who directed "Million Dollar Baby" and "Gran Torino", comes now with a new historical film, called "Invictus". With Morgan Freeman on the main rule, like president Nelson Mandela and with Matt Damon on the second rule, like Francois Pienaar, captain of the South African Rugby Team.
During the Rugby World Cup 1995 in South Africa. After that Nelson Mandela was released from prison, was elected president of South Africa.

So let's start from the beginning. Who is Nelson Mandela?
On July 18, 1918 Nelson Mandela was born, the future president of South Africa. He fought against racism and discrimination, but always peacefully. He organized demonstrations to protest against apartheid (a system based on racism). He was taken to jail for false accusations of violating the government, when simply expressed peacefully. He was taken to prison in Johannesburg. Mandela's imprisonment meant the mobilization of various South African ethnic groups against the "white" government . In 1990, the president of South Africa (Frederik De Klerk), released Mandela from imprisonment. Both negotiated end to apartheid and received the Nobel Peace Prize in 1993. In 1994 he was elected president of South Africa and ruled until 1999, until he resigned.
